HI! This is Luci!! First off, I want to wish you a Happy 4th of July!!! Technically, next week will be about happy days in July, but by then Independence Day will be over, so I am putting it in this blog. America and freedom are great reasons to be happy!!! And even if you are not American, you can celebrate the fact that 247 years ago there was a group of people with a dream to make lives better, and they succeeded! Oh, and one more thing before we get to the main part of this post: on the 4th of July, talk about all you have to be thankful for in America instead of unpleasant things!!
Now, here is the advice for this month: Last weekend, I went on a retreat with my youth group. On the bus ride home, I asked everyone on the bus for happy advice for my blog, and here it is!!!
"Always create time to connect with those who invest in you." -Alex
"Dance, even when you don't wanna." -Joshua
"Accept the negative, but only focus on the positive." -Jesse
"Happiness is the only thing that multiplies when shared." -Leah
"If you try to be someone else, you will always disappoint. You have nobody else to live up to but yourself." -Patrick
"Sometimes you want something really bad. You will get it, even if it is years later." -Ann
"Keep on smiling and staying close with God the Father! :)" -Mariana
"Jesus loves you! Be joyful! :)" -Abagail
"Happiness is just a prayer away!" -Alaina
"Sometimes, it's just a leap of faith." -Chris
"When with someone you love, don't count the moments until you have to say goodbye, but the memories made and the blessings shared." -Liam
"You are loved! Keep praying!" -Jenna
"You don't lose; you either win or you learn." -Mary
What makes these quotes extra amazing is that they mostly come from high schoolers!!! So, thank you to all who donated quotes!!!!
Hugs! And smiles!!!!

P.S. When I asked the one kid on the bus if he wanted to write down a quote for this blog, I said, "It is up to you," and he said, "Put that in."
"It is up to you." -Matthew
P.P.S. To clarify, there were no actual fireworks on our bus. That is only in the title because this post is partially about the 4th of July.
