A new little..err....I mean tall....baby animal!

Hi! This is Beamy here! I have some great news to share. The Sacramento Zoo has a new baby giraffe!!!! and it's a girl!!!! She was born on January 22 at 12:28 pm. Her mother's name is Shani, but I don't think she has her name yet. I also wanted to introduce you all to my little cousin who is huge fan of all animals!

Hi! My name is Giallo! and I love animals, especially giraffes, especially baby giraffes!!!!!!!!!! Beamy didn't mention it, but the new baby giraffe is a Masai giraffe. Here are a few fun facts about Masai giraffes!

1. Their tongues can be up to 20 inches in length! (I wonder how big of ice cream cones they would want).

2. They are the national animal of Tanzania.

3. It is the largest species of giraffe which means it is the tallest land animal!
