Does France have a bell trail instead of a bunny trail?

HI! It's Beamy here! My cousin, Stellavia, travels all over the world and sends me letters about the places she visits. After Easter with our family, she headed to France and learned about French traditions for Easter. This is her letter.
Bonjour, Beamy!
You know what's funny? Easter is celebrated mostly the same in France as it is in America. They have Easter egg hunts and lots of chocolate and family dinners.
One of the things that is different is instead of the Easter bunny bringing treats the church bells bring treats. The church bells don’t ring from Holy Thursday till Easter Sunday, and it is said that during that time the bells fly to Rome to be blessed by the pope. When they come back, they have treats with them! But when I got to Alsace, France, they said they had Easter bunnies and seemed to do a lot of things differently than the rest of France. I guess just like us different regions have different traditions. I think Alsace, France gets a lot of their traditions from Germany because they are so close, just like a town near the border of another state in America might take traditions from the state they are close to.
Well, that’s all for now,
Joyeuses Pâques!
Stellavia
I hope Stellavia's letter reminded you of all the happy traditions there are around the world!
Hugs! and smiles!
Beamy
