Happy June!!! It’s the beginning of summer!!!!!! Which means lots of sunshine!!! And the summer solstice, which is when this little sun (and all her family) gets to stay out a nice long time!! I am going to hand this off to Luci for our first happy day of the month which is……………………………………………………........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................National Best Friends Day on June 8th!!!!!
Friends are one of the things that make life especially happy!! National Best Friends Day is a day to remind your friends how much you appreciate them. My friends almost always make me smile, but I can’t really say I have a best friend, because each of my friends is best at being themselves. One way to celebrate this day is to text each of your friends a special message thanking them for whatever thing they are “best” at when it comes to being a friend. You could also spend time with friends or reconnect with an old friend - especially reconnecting with an old friend. Sometimes it seems like you are the one putting in all the work, but you may not know what your friends have going on in their lives, and friendship is worth a little extra effort.
Some of you may remember that yesterday was National Smile Day. There is a song I love that says, “A smile means friendship to everyone,” so another amazing way to celebrate Friends Day is smiling at people!
I hope you all enjoy Best Friends Day! And thank you to all my friends for making my life so much happier!!!!

Our second happy day in June is Father’s Day on June 18th! Here are some fun ideas for Father’s Day:
Wake your father up with his favorite music and a special breakfast. If his favorite music is something loud, this could become a funny family memory😉. (If the music is super loud, you might want to have something sweet in the breakfast. I recommend chocolate, cinnamon rolls, brownies, or coffee cake.)
Just like for Mother’s Day, consider sending Father's Day cards to fathers in nursing homes or new fathers. People often think of new mothers needing encouragement, but new fathers need encouragement, too!
Celebrating Father's Day doesn’t have to be a big ordeal. It can be as simple as hugging your father or thanking your sons or sons-in-laws for being good fathers.
